Ernest Shaw, Jr. grew up in west Baltimore in a family where there was “never an absence of influence or inspiration.” A graduate of Baltimore School for the Arts, Shaw began painting murals while in college at Morgan State University during the mid-‘90s. As a father, artist, and educator, Shaw recognizes the inherent power that family and community have in shaping one’s purpose and calling: a calling that has kept him rooted here in order to make an indelible creative mark on the city he calls home.  Read on.
