Station North Skill Up: Arts workshops for the whole family
The Station North Arts District in partnership with the Greenmount West Community Center hosts four art workshops for the whole family! REGISTER HERE.
About this event
Get ready for an interactive night of art, dance and music at the Greenmount West Community Center, 1634 Guilford Ave. Four local artists will lead workshops in printmaking, hand-made pigments, dance, and jewelry making, followed by an art display and party at the playground!
After your workshops, gather with us at the Montessori Playground to get your raffle ticket and showcare your work! We will announce raffle prizes soon!

Schedule:
4 - 4:30: Welcome + Workshop Sign ups
4:30 - 5:00: First rotation of workshops
5:15 - 5:45: Second rotation of workshops
6 - 7:00pm: Artwork showcase and party in the playground
WORKSHOPS:
Workshop 1: Hand Made Pigments
Blue Light Junction Director Kenya Miles will lead families through a process to create their own paints from raw earth materials to make a watercolor painting to take home!
Workshop 2: Screen Printing Workshop
Greenmount West Power Press will lead families through a screenprinting workshop to take home your own screenprint at the end of the night!
Workshop 3: Smashed Penny Jewelry
Baltimore Jewelry Center designers will lead families through a jewelry making method using pennies! We'll first run a penny through a rolling mill to flatten it, then punch holes, stamp letters, and attach findings to make a bracelet, pendant, or pair of earrings.
Workshop 4: FazaFam Family Jam
Dance and Bmore artists will get you up and moving and grooving with original and classic backyard music to sing and dance to with games and playful moves for the whole family.
